We didn’t just jump—we united.
The ASEAN Jump Rope Summit & Asian Jump Rope Workshop 2025 reached new heights as an official segment of the ASEAN Sports Industry Expo, inaugurated by YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, alongside YB Hannah Yeoh, Minister of Youth and Sports, and YB Mohd Najwan bin Halimi, Selangor State Exco. Their participation highlighted strong governmental endorsement of jump rope as a vehicle for regional unity and athletic development.
Under the leadership of AJRU President Michael Chan, a historic milestone was achieved: the first official knowledge transfer from the China Rope Skipping Association. World-class coaches Zhang Honggang, Cen Xiaolin, and Richard Fang led intensive sessions, introducing systematic training methodologies that are set to redefine competitive standards across the continent.
Delegates from the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, India, and Malaysia shared how the workshop reshaped their approach—equipping them to bring cutting-edge techniques and revitalized energy back to their home communities.
In a symbolic gesture of lasting partnership, President Michael Chan presented Saiful Anwar Ishak, President of the Malaysian Jump Rope Federation (MYJuRF), with a piece of traditional Chinese calligraphy, recognizing the exceptional hospitality and unwavering commitment of the Malaysian organizing team.
As Habibah A. Hamid, Vice-President of the Malaysian Jump Rope Federation (MYJuRF), reflected:
“The collective effort to unite experts and jump rope activists added tremendous value. We are committed to elevating the sport to the next level.”
From the expo stage to hands-on technical sessions, this summit strengthened the bonds across Asia—forging a rope woven from knowledge, opportunity, and friendship.
Thank you to every nation, coach, and organizer who helped bring this landmark event to life. The future of Asian jump rope has never looked brighter.
